What type of items are you looking for? We are genuinely grateful and welcome all donations! In previous years items donated have included:
Gift certificates: For local restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, retailers, classes and education, health and well-being.
Products: Unique pieces or art, floral arrangements, games, collectables, tv show and movie swag, posters and baked goods.
Tickets and experiences: Always amongst our most popular auction category, we have been fortunate to have received donations for sports events tickets, vacation stays, behind the scenes tours, members only experiences, amusement park tickets and comedy nights.
How is the auction promoted? Promotion of the auction begins each November and runs through until the end of February. As well as the online auction site, which receives thousands of bids and visitors each year, we also produce flyers, mailers, bulletins, posters and banners. The auction is primarily promoted in the Burbank community, especially targeting those with children attending Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary School in Burbank.
What is the money raised used for? Money raised will go towards funding arts and technology education at Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary for the 2024/25 academic year. For the 2023/24 school year we funded over 8,000 hours of arts education as well as a variety of technology programs, giving children the chance to develop new skills, express themselves creatively and most importantly have fun!
How will you promote my business? Each donated item is featured in our online auction brochure along with a prominent mention of the donor. We promote this online brochure extensively and it is viewed by thousands of people within the Burbank Community. Big ticket items may also be featured in printed flyers sent home to families as well as on vinyl banners displayed outside of the school.
Are donations tax deductible? Donations are 100% tax deductible and we will provide you with appropriate documentation after you donate.
I donate have anything to donate but I would still love to support the auction -- can I volunteer? We are always looking for volunteers! A list of roles can be found HERE or you can contact our volunteer coordinator [email protected].
When do you need auction items? We will be collecting donations between now and January 12th.
Will you pick-up auction items? Yes, we are happy to collect items. To organize, please get in touch with [email protected].
