VOLUNTEER FROM HOME Contacting Donor Businesses: In your own time, from home, contact businesses that have donated to our auction in the past. These are our “Stevenson friends” and it’s a lovely process! You will be asking if they would like to donate again and then coordinating the donation delivery with Elizabeth & Jo. You can also approach new businesses too, if you feel comfortable doing this.
Hand Out Our Donation Flyer: Take our flyer (download it here, or watch for it in your student's Monday folders, or grab a few copies from the front office) to your favorite businesses. Ask them if they would be interested and pass on the flyer - Easy! This is a great way for businesses to get exposure to our loyal school community. Being in our auction is just like advertising. If you need more flyers they will be in the front office. We love to support local businesses, especially your favorites!
Writing the Online Entries for our Auction Website: Are you great with words? We need your help to create short (yet detailed and intriguing) descriptions of each auction item.
VOLUNTEER IN PERSON Basket Building and Wrapping: Want to have a wrapping party with us? Help us build gift baskets and wrap them ready for auction.
Photographer: You have the skills, we need you! Take sassy photos of all of our cool auction items for the website. Work it, baby.
Get cleared to Volunteer! How do I get cleared to Volunteer at our school? Complete the online application at www.burbankusd.org/volunteer. Once you submit your application, email Stevenson's Office Manager Andrea ([email protected]) and she will help guide you through the rest of the process (including getting a volunteer badge). You can also reach out to [email protected] with any questions. (Only on site volunteers need to be cleared. There are also several "VOLUNTEER FROM HOME" opportunities.)
